Harvard Business School, in order for you to get the most out of your time at their sessions, have asked you to review the case study materials ahead of your time with us in Dubai.

 

Each case study is written from the viewpoint of a real person leading a real organisation. In addition to background information on the situation, each case ends in a key decision to be made.

During our sessions, we'll discuss cases on Family Enterprises and answer the questions below. Be prepared to change the way you think as you debate the best path forward for these organisations. The highly engaged conversation is facilitated by the HBS and HSBC Global Banking teams, but it’s driven by your comments and experiences.

The HBS case method is designed to bring together amazingly talented people from diverse backgrounds and put that experience front and center. You will do the majority of the talking (and lots of active listening); your job is to better understand the decision at hand, what you would do in the case protagonist’s shoes, and why. You will not leave the sessions thinking about the cases the same way you thought about them coming in.

The case method prepares you to be in leadership positions where you will face time-sensitive decisions with limited information. Reflecting on each class discussion will prepare you to face these situations in your future roles.
